New Favorite show!!
I have missed most of the episodes of a few shows I watch this season because of my busy spring and summer school schedule. I absolutely hate reality show but I have actually enjoyed watching "So You Think You Can Dance" with the kids. I like that being on the show actually requires talent and hard work each week to avoid elimination. It's one of very few shows we can watch together and it's something we all enjoy watching without they saying "this is boring." Check it out sometime because the people on the show are amazing.
To blog or not to blog!!
Before this class, I never thought much of blogging or why anyone would want to sit at the computer and type away. I didn't know what to expect so I just went in with an open mind. It might be something that I would actually enjoy. It was interesting reading everyone's post and finding out a little more about each one in the class. I have found that blogging is not something that I will continue to do after this class. I have found that I prefer face-to-face interactions. This would explain why I don't frequent my Facebook page very often, something my friends complain about quite often. I tell them that I would rather communicate with them on the phone, the old fashioned way.

Library Annoyance!!
I like to go to the library because it's a time I can really put into studying. I expect to go to the library and be able to study in the designated quiet area with limited noise or disruptions. I get so upset when instead there is a fool who ignores all the "please be quiet" signs and decides to have a conversation on the phone. I went today knowing I would only be there for 2 1/2 hours and there was a lady in there chewing her gum as if she was competing in a gum chewing competition. As much as I tried to ignore her I wanted to go to her to let her know her gum chewing was too loud and annoying. There has been on occasion where I have spoken up when a guy thought it was okay to have a conversation on his phone. I had to politely tell him that the room he was in was reserved for quiet studying. He quietly stepped out and when he returned he was obviously peeved and began slamming his things on the desk before leaving. Consideration for others is lost on so many people I guess.
Fun time with the kids!!
This past weekend my five year old burst into the living asking me to guess how many shirts he had on. My studying was being interrupted but I welcomed the interruption. His two older brothers and I took turns guessing how many shirts he had on. We counted as he took off his shirts one by one. This continued with my seven year old taking his turn going to the room and putting on as many shirts as he could. By this time they were all just laughing like crazy. Again, we took turns guessing how many shirts he had on. Then came my ten year old's time. He came in with the most shirts on, nine. The kicker was that my seven year old took it to the next level when it was his turn a second time. Instead of simply putting on more clothes than the first time, he decided to put on as many underwear as he could. I wish I had video taped him, he was laughing so hard he almost couldn't take them off. For his third and final turn, he came out wrapped in a blanket like his brother. But instead of having shirts on like his brother, he was o-natural. They were all besides themselves with laughter and I just had to shake my head. This is the kind of hilarious fun we have in our home. I would have missed it if I had told my youngest to let me continue to study while they played in the basement. It was a nice break from "Boring" study time and one that delighted all our hearts.

Entering the world of Competive Sports!!
We decided that we will venture into competitive sports this year for my two oldest sons. They both dream of playing professional soccer so this is a way for them to be challenged more. They both went for try outs this week and I have to say, it was not what I expected. I watched as about 40-50 kids showcased their skills and abilities while three or four coaches watched. They explained the process of the try out and choosing a coach, and I just thought to myself, "This stuff is somewhat serious." Not to mention the expenses of uniforms, member cards, and tournaments. It felt more like a try out to get on a big name team where we as parents will have to choose between two or three coaches. Before we even left the soccer field my sons were asking if I think they will make the team. "I don't see why not," was all I could reply. I had no qualms about either of them being chosen but I wanted to remain calm and collected. Both of them have been chosen, not surprisingly and they are excited about playing competitive soccer. They might grow up to be professional soccer players and they might not, the excitement is in the road one travels.

Where is June?!!
I'm not sure about everyone else, but I am still waiting for warm weather to kick in. My son just asked me today where June is. I replied, "What do you mean where is June?" Even he's waiting for the weather to warm up, at least the way June is supposed to get warm. The rain has prevented them from going outside consistently, and I must say that I am tired of it too. I know we need the rain but sometimes you gotta say ENOUGH!! Who knows what July and August will bring.
